{ July 4th and 24th }

I'm so behind on blogging that I need to combine events to get them all in. We had a wonderful time in July celebrating the 4th and the 24th.

We used to invite our neighbors over for breakfast on July 4th but we took last year off and this year our yard is torn up while Logan builds a stone patio back there. We decided to go to the Kaysville parade again because our nephew Josh is in it and they throw out candy so the kids think it's Christmas.

This year we got there a little late and couldn't quite remember where to park so we ended up walking quite a ways. It was extremely hot for this very pregnant mama! But once we got there the kids just jumped right in and had a blast.

 After the parade we had lunch and headed down to Orem to spend the day with the Rife/Cox/Buchanan family. We had a delicious BBQ and lit a bunch of fireworks! (Thanks Papa Rich)

When we were almost done with our fireworks the neighbors came out and started lighting off some ariels. One of their fireworks tipped over and started shooting out balls of fire all around the cul-di-sac! It was pretty scary and made for a memorable firework experience!

July 24th:

We have a tradition with the Hammer family of doing a RED WHITE and BLUE breakfast every Pioneer day.

The whole gang! Pretty incredible that have the whole family together.

This year we not only had breakfast but spent the day at Brammy and Bapa's playing with the cousins. Brammy rented a blow up water slide and the kids were in HEAVEN!

Laura didn't have any plans that day and wanted to have Ayden and Sophie sleep over at her house that night so she came up in the afternoon and brought her kids to play at Brammy's. It was so fun!

Laura brought some sparklers and the kids had a great time lighting them. It was a fun filled day with filled with lots of people we love.
