{ Oh the maddness }

You know, for the first few weeks after Myla arrived, life was so peaceful. I had people taking my kids, visitors, Logan at home, man life was sweet. I spent most of my day relaxing and holding my little angel.

Well. . . boy how things have changed!!

It feels like everything went full speed ahead all at the same time! I started working again, right as we jumped into competition season. As well as soccer starting and what seems like a birthday party every weekend! All fun things, but a little overwhelming to a mom with a new baby!

So going back . . .

The panthers are back in full swing! The soccer season started again, and it's crazy how much these little guys have grown over the winter! I think this will be a better season though, because they seem to understand the sport a little more. Go Panthers!

Ayden had his second competition at Clearfield high on the 17th. Once again they got first place with both of their dances, and took grand champion over all the other dances in the beginning category! If you have a chance check out his dance on YouTube . . . JDS tricky tots!

{Bailey and Ayden watching some of the other dancers}

The next day, Sunday the 18th, we had an eventful evening. While playing with her uncle and his girlfriend at Nana's house, Sophie flipped off the swing falling over 10 feet and landing on her head. We had a ridiculous and long visit to the ER where she got her first (and probably not her last) CT scan.

A sad mommy. So hard to see your baby hurt.

Now I'll try not to go off about the ER doctor, but . . . he was so STUPID! He didn't bother to ask us how she fell, where she fell, how she landed, NOTHING! So when he came in and said that the CT looked fine, Logan and I weren't convinced. So on Tuesday when I noticed a lot of swelling at her temple, I took her to the pediatrician. After reviewing the scan again, and actually examining the patient, he found a non-displaced fracture! That's right, my baby literally cracked her head. Even though there's nothing we could have done differently had we known on Sunday, I was just so upset that it wasn't found sooner. But the fact that there was no bleeding or swelling in her brain was a miracle and for that I am so grateful. She's a tough one, that Sophie Lynn. She's so accident prone though, I am considering making her wear a helmet at all times to prevent any head cracking in the future.

Moving on . . .

On Wednesday of the next week we got some exciting news. Ayden's team was picked to perform at the Jazz Game! Considering they are so young and this is a playoff game, we were pretty honored!

The day of the game we had a practice on the floor and it was so exciting to see my little guy dance on that floor that I danced on so many years ago.

The performance went so well, and once again the crowd went wild! Especially when Ayden did his front handspring that he recently mastered! It was such a fun night!

But we don't stop there! The next morning was another soccer game and another competition! Holy Cow, this momma is pooped! Fortunately we have a little bit of a break before the next competition, graduation, and year end concert! It's a busy time of life right now, but I know it only gets more and more busy from here on out!

{giveaway}

I guess you have to blog more than once a month in order to do a giveaway huh?! Well the results are finally in and the winner is . . . my long lost friend Jessica Lui!! (thanks for making me laugh!)

So Lui, I need your address and we will get that mailed out to you asap!
Love you girl!

{1 month/ anniversary}

Yesterday my sweet angel baby Myla was one month old! We have a tradition of taking pictures of our babies every month so that Logan can make a video of their first year.

Myla is the definition of an angel baby. She never cries. At first I was concerned because I thought there was something wrong with her, but as time went on I just realized that she doesn't cry because she's just happy. Nothing bothers her, not even hunger. She is so patient, when she wants to eat she'll let out a few little sqwaks to let me know and then wait until I'm ready.

When you hold this precious little girl, you can feel how sweet her spirit is. She has an ora about her that I've never experienced before. When Logan held each of our babies for the first time he had a distinct impression. With Ayden it was "This guy is going to do great things". With Sophie it was "This one is a little bit of trouble". And with Myla his impression was one simple word . . .balance. And that is exactly what she is. She brings balance to our family and to our individual lives. She is so peaceful that she actually calms me down.

I have never been much for just sitting around holding a baby. My other 2 caught on really quick that Mommy isn't just going to hold you all day. But with Myla, I can sit in a messy house, with a million things I need to do and places I need to go, and be completely a ease. I could hold her all day.

I love you Myla Jae.

We also celebrated our 8th anniversary yesterday. (celebrated yesterday but our anniversary is actually today) We have a tradition of going to Outback for dinner. Thinking back I realized that on our second anniversary I was pregnant with Ayden and on our 3rd we had him with us again because I was still nursing. On our 4th I was very pregnant with Sophie but then we had a 4 year span where we didn't have any babies with us. It was actually very sweet getting to celebrate this great occasion with our new little one. She makes us so happy.

The day before our anniversary I called Logan at work and said, "FYI . . . I didn't get you a present for our anniversary so please don't get me one. Is that okay?" His response was perfect. He said, "I'm so happy to be going out. Just being able to sit an talk with you is enough." So after 8 years of marriage, just being able to visit, uninterrupted for a few minutes, is the perfect gift. That is how much we enjoy each others company. With life being as busy as it is, the time we actually get to spend together is so precious.

Logan, I love you with all my heart. You are the man of my dreams. You make me laugh. You are good to me and I'm so thankful that we found each other and get to spend eternity together.
Happy anniversary baby.

My Dad's second book (The Divine Virtues: 14 Values to Live By is available today.

The Divine Virtues is a book about acquiring Christlike attributes in our lives, one day at a time. It is full of hope and will inspire you to strive daily to be a little bit more like our Savior.

I recently started reading it and from the moment I opened it my heart was filled with the spirit and a desire to be better.

The Divine Virtues goes one by one through each of 14 Christlike virtues, defining the virtue and exploring how we can develop that virtue, with wonderful stories and examples and scriptures to illustrate how the virtue makes itself apparent in our daily lives.

The Divine Virtues: 14 Values to Live By is available today at amazon.com and cedarfort.com. It is also available in Deseret Book stores. If you don't see it on the shelf, be sure to ask for it, so they'll order and carry it!

I'm also going to be doing my very first giveaway! I haven't done one before because I don't have a lot of readers, but this will be well worth it for the winner. My dad will sign and mail a copy to one lucky winner chosen from those who comment on this post. I'll choose on Sunday night!
