I woke up bright and early to work out at the hotel since I knew I probably wouldn't want to work out on the ship. The hotel offered a pretty good complimentary breakfast so we sat outside and enjoyed the lovely weather. It was still so surreal that we were actually there! With the blue sky and palm trees surrounding us.
Logan had to stay behind and take a test online so we got ready and drove around a little while we waited for him. We grabbed some sandwiches for lunch and went to budget to drop off the car and take the shuttle to the ship.
There she is . . . the Carnival Dream. She's a beauty. Unbelievable in fact. She is the largest ship in their fleet. She holds 4500 guests along with 1400 crew. When we pulled up to the dock, we were so excited we could hardly stand it. It's so crazy to feel like kids in a candy store. Just to pumped you can't contain your excitement and you don't care what anyone else thinks about it!
Once on board we gave ourselves a tour of the ship and found our cabins. Once our luggage arrived I couldn't get my swim suit on fast enough. I was ready for some fun in the sun! We headed up to the main deck and grabbed some drinks for the Bon Voyage party!
{There was music and dancing. Texie and I even joined in for the electric slide and the wobble.}
After we chilled on the deck for a while we got ready and headed for dinner. On this ship there are 2 choices for dinner. You can have open seating where you eat whenever you want and you have different servers. We decided we wanted to eat at the same time each night and have the same wait staff. I'm pretty sure we took a picture every night at dinner.
This is our first night at table 515 in the Scarlet Restaurant.
After dinner we went to a game show where Kirk got called on stage. He was hilarious! They asked questions and the contestants had to ring a buzzer and answer. He didn't win, but he was a good sport.
Then we headed out on the balcony to watch the sunset. It was beautiful. A great end to our first day aboard the Carnival Dream.
