{my beautiful sister}

My beautiful sister wrote an incredible post on her blog in which she included this quote. It really touched me, so thanks Laur. Love you.

"Both abundance and lack [of abundance] exist simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities. It is always our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend . . . When we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that’s present—love, health, family, friends, work, the joys of nature, and personal pursuits that bring us [happiness]—the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience heaven on earth.” (quoted by President Monson in his talk Joy in the Journey, October 2008

Two beautiful and amazing daughters, sisters, wives and mothers. I'm so proud of both of you. You're an amazing mother to Sophie and Ayden, just like Laura is to her kiddies.

Your mother said the same thing I was thinking so I'll just say ditto. I am amazed at how well all my granddaughters do the 'mother' thing and manage to fill the wife and church calling and friendship thing. We do need to focus on the blessings and not what is missing in our lives. I love you Mary!
