{ Welcome to the world . . .}

Little miss Myla Jae Hammer! We have been so excited for this day to come. It seems like it's been so long since we've had a baby in our home now that Sophie Lynn is almost 4!

My induction was scheduled for 7:30 am on March 10th. They gave me the pitocin and broke my water around 9am. By 11:30 I was a 5 and ready for my epidural.

With my other 2 kids we struggled getting a good epidural but the anesthesiologist was going to have none of that. He was confident I would be numb from start to finish . . . and boy was I ever! He must have given me 4 times the normal dosage because I was numb for hours where I can usually get up and walk out of the delivery room.

They checked me at 12:50 and I was a 7 but within the next 10 minutes I started to feel a lot of pressure. By five after 1 I was complete and after 2 or 3 pushes, by 1:13 she was here!

There's always that moment of shock when you begin pushing. I tend to start to shake a little, I'm not sure if it's nerves or fear. I think it's just the thought that after a long 9 months, the time has finally arrived for this baby to be born. The anticipation is over!

I was able to hold her on my stomach immediately after she was born which is always such a sweet and overwhelming moment. Here is this little person whom you have felt move inside you for the last few months. You spend so much time wondering what they will look like, their personality, how they will enter the world, and then there they are. It's a precious moment that only a mother can understand.

She looked pretty big so I wasn't surprised when she weighed the exact same as our little Sophie girl.

7 lbs 13 oz.

These were the first visitors for sweet Myla. Actually Nanna and Brammy were both there for the birth. Papa stepped out for the big moment but came back in shortly after to see her.

I was so excited for the kids to get there and meet her. We have been talking about his day with them for so long, I was anxious to see their reactions. And I wasn't disappointed!

When they got there she was still getting cleaned up in the nursery so they just watched as she got her first bath.

And then the love started being poured out as they got a chance to hug and kiss their new sister.

Sophie was a little overwhelmed by the room and all the fun stuff to get into, but Ayden was completely sucked in by his baby sister. He was so sweet and gentle as he held her over and over again saying, "Mom! She's just so cute. I can't believe how cute she is!"

And then Logan and I had the realization that we now have 3 children.
Holy Cow! I have 3 kids!

The kids left with my parents and headed down to Orem for the next 2 days. As they were leaving Ayden said, "No fair Mom. How come you get to stay here with the baby and we have to leave. I want to stay here." He was so in love with her, what a doll.

We had a lot of visitors, we are so lucky to have our family and friends so close by.

Aunt Jenny and Uncle Michael

Aunt Abi, uncle Colter, and Texie

Aunt Codye and Uncle Matt

Ryan and Michelle Flitton

Brammy and Bapa

Aunt Whitney and cousin Lauryn

The whole time in the hospital little Myla was an absolute dream. She slept well, she ate well, and she made the sweetest little squeaking noises that we just melted over.

We are so incredible thrilled to have here in our family.
We love you Myla Jae.

Hooray for the best delivery yet! There is nothing wrong with being too numb, right? Except for when it is over and the nurses have to help you to the bathroom, ya... then you feel a bit awkward and weird! ha!
She is so wonderful!
