{ Summer Fun }

We are so lucky to have friends and family so close by. The kids have loved the warm weather! Here are some pictures of the summer fun we've been having so far this year:

How many kiddos can you fit in one little truck?

These two little girls can't get enough of each other. They are best friends and it is so stinking cute!

Poor Ayden is a little out numbered. But here are some of his best friends in our neighborhood.

And of course we have been having lots and lots of fun at Cherryhill! I'm so glad we have a place to go swimming that my kids just adore. Even Myla is in heaven at Cherryhill.

Going on a bike ride around the neighborhood with Dad!

Going to the park with friends.

Ayden played baseball for the first time this year. He was a little nervous about trying something new, but he ended up having a great time! He made some new friends and he quickly picked up the game.  We had so much fun going to his games and supporting his team.

Sophie Lynn turns 6!

On June 7th Sophie Lynn turned 6 years old! We have been counting down to this momentous occasion since January when the new year began. She has made countless calendars to keep track of just how soon it would be her special day. That was a lot of pressure on her parents to make it a memorable day for her.

She woke up in the morning to the most amazing display of love from her father. Logan is in charge of decorating the house and each time I think there's no way he will be able to out do the previous birthday. Well he not only surprised me again, but he blew us all away!!

(Sophie's nickname is Lew )

She was so excited to open her presents. I kept trying to get her to slow down but she just wanted to tear into them as quickly as possible.

After school we had her friends over for a girly party!

We started by having the girls decorate a picture of a crown.

Then they were blindfolded and tried to pin the crown on Rapunzel.

Next up was the piƱata!

Hooray for candy!
Then we had a pizza and opened presents!

(Top Left: cousin Abby, Ashlee and Brooke Bott, cousin Clara, Erika Paxman, Emily and Kaiya Boren, and Lucy Large)

Sophie was really excited to have everyone sing and eat the cake.

But I think the highlight of the party was getting their faces painted! Sophie loves a good mess!

It was a successful day!
Sophie is such a special girl and it was a joy to try and make her dreams come true. For weeks before the big day Sophie asked me multiple times a day if I was excited for her birthday. Sophie is such a funny girl. She is always making us laugh with her funny phrases or silly faces. Sophie is also very smart. She is an incredible reader and she loves to read. There have been many times when I have found her on her bed reading a book even without being asked.

Sophie loves to play with her friends and she is so lucky to have so many great friends so close. She spends the majority of her free time at either the Bott's house or the Boren's house and they always welcome her with open arms. She also loves to ride her bike, jump on the tramp, make up dances, or play in the sandbox. She is pretty easy going as long as what she is doing is FUN!

Sophie is a good sister. She is more generous than her siblings and for the most part tries to be the peacemaker. She loves to play with Myla, even though she is a bit too bossy sometimes and tends to make her sister scream. She is looking forward to the new baby though, and I know she will be a big helper!

Happy Birthday Lew! We love you!

Graduation..

I am so far behind but I didn't want to skip a post about Logan's graduation.

I can't express how truly amazed I am by this man and his commitment to finish his degree. It's hard enough to take 15 credits per semester for a full year, but to do it while working full time to support a wife and 3 kids is truly amazing.

I couldn't be more proud of him...way to go Babe!

When Logan bought his cap and gown they gave him the option to get the red sash. They told him it was a token of appreciation to be given to someone who helped him the most through his experience in college. I was so touched when he gave the sash to me. What a sweetheart. I love my college grad!!!
