{ What the . . . }

Giving true meaning to the term . . .
"CRAZY HAIR SOPH"

A little glimpse at what happens when your child decides coat their head with entire container of pomade
Not a happy camper.

PS This picture was taken after her hair had been washed over 15 times. Any tips on how to get it out would be greatly appreciated.

{The night we've all been waiting for . . . }

I'd like to say that I'm a mature adult that doesn't get sucked into love stories and romantic fantasy . . . but you all know me better than that!

I heard about the Twilight books over a year ago, right after the 3rd book came out.  And from the moment I opened the first book, I was sucked in.

I read all three books in 2 weeks. Then the wait was on . . . for number 4. I waited patiently and decided that in preparation for the last book I would re-read the others. (it was so painful, but I had just had to do it!)

Then I heard there was a movie coming out and . . . I was ecstatic! I know that the movie is never as good as the book, but that doesn't mean it's not fun to see some one's interpretation.

My friend Texie got our tickets as soon as they were made available and then we stared planning. We knew it had to be a night to remember. Parties, tee shirts, the whole sha-bang!

And so the table was set . . .

The guests arrived . . .

{Michelle, Kymmy, Me, Anna, Wendy, Texie}

and we PARTIED!!

It was a great night! And although the movie got mixed reviews . . . I LOVED IT!

{Birthday fun . . .}

I had the most wonderful Birthday! My family always takes such good care of me, I am so lucky!

It started out by waking up to a fully decorated house, with presents, flowers, and a delicious breakfast!

After I opened my presents, the kids decorated me with crate paper and told me all the things they love about me.

Then I was surprised with a date with my sweet Ayden boy! Logan got us tickets to see High School Musical 3!

We were the only ones in the theater so we got to dance and sing to our little hearts desire!

After the movie...my sweetheart took me to Pizza Factory, one of my favorite restaurants!

It was an incredible day! I had so many friends send me messages and bring me gifts. I am so blessed with wonderful people in my life. I have great friends and a wonderful family!

Thanks for making my birthday such a special day!

{ the ultimate exchange}

Today was a big day for Sophie Lynn.  I have been thinking about it for a while, and I'm finally ready to get rid of the binky. (oh come on! we all know that Mom is way more attached than child)

We took all of her binky's to walmart and Sophie got to pick out a toy to exchange them for. I used this technique with Ayden and his sippy and it was a huge success! She very quickly found what she wanted . . .

Dora and Diego
(aka do0-ra and yea-go)

She was thrilled with her purchase!

She played with them for the next couple hours but when it was nap time she wasn't as excited.  She kept saying, "where's my binky?" then she would explain to herself, "to the lady".

It was painful . . .  but well over an hour later, and after many tears. . . she finally fell asleep.

One nap down . . .

{ Mommy moment . . .}

As Ayden and I were snuggling today  . . .

A: "Mommy, I like snuggling with you"

M: "Oh yeah?"

A: "Yeah, wanna know why?"

M: "Why?"

A: "Because you're so wobbly!"

M: "Thanks bud."

Nothing better than a little reminder of your wobbliness. Thanks Ayden.

{ A shout out . . .}

This is a shout out for my sweet husband who turned 28 today!
Happy Birthday Logan!

He is the most kind, most generous, most hard working and service oriented person I know. He always puts my happiness and the happiness of our children above his own.

I loved him 7 years ago when I met him, and I am so proud of the person he's become. We have learned a lot and grown together.

Logan, I love you with all my heart. You are (and always will be) the man of my dreams.

Happy Birthday Babe. I love you.

{ Happy Halloween }

Those of you who are close to me know that I don't really care for Halloween. For some reason it just feels like work, but in looking at some of your blogs (especially my siser Laura's) I've decided to have a renewed love of this silly holiday and try to get into it a little more.

We had a Halloween Week! Monday we had a party at the studio where I teach and Ayden goes to preschool. We dressed up and had a good time going through the haunted house and playing the fun games they had set up there!

Tuesday night the kids went with their awesome Aunt Whitney down to Brammy's house for the crazy fun Hammer kid party. They got to carve pumpkins, eat pizza, and got a sweet treat bag with all kids of fun Halloween stuff!

Thursday was Ayden's Halloween party at school. Sophie and I got to stay and help with the party. His teacher Mrs Marsha does such a great job and the kids had an absolute blast!

{Ayden's class with their fangs . . . all girls!}

{Waiting his turn with his friend Olivia}

Then, of course, we had the ward trunk-or-treat last night as well as trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. We've made it a tradtition since we moved here to always dress up on Halloween. I decided to be a vampire (countdown to Twilight on the brain) but everyone got a kick out of the other 3 . . .

{My little devils}

{Ayden with his scary daddy devil}

{kind-of sick, I know}

If that wasn't enough. . . our neighborhood party is tonight! That's right. . .
it's the never ending holiday!
